Scott is 36, a Colorado native ski bum turned dharma bum. He grew up and went to school in Conifer, Colorado, lived in the suburbs of Denver for a few years and then moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1992. Before moving to Sikkim, Scott was the Information Technology Manager for an upscale hotel in Aspen. Scott
has been studying and practicing with the Carbondale sangha. First
introduced to the dharma through Shao-lin training and the Zen teachings
of Boddhidharma, Scott has gravitated towards the depth and wisdom
offered by the Tibetan masters. "There clearly comes a point when
intellectual understanding is insufficient and even starts to become an
obstacle. For me, the time has come to apply the dharma, soak in
it and rub it all over myself until there is no separation."
