Spaff was educated in the sciences (B.A., M.S., Ph.D.) and taught at a boarding school for 14 years prior to his decision to enter three year retreat. "The opportunity to enter into three year retreat is a beautiful gift and I feel most fortunate. I wish to thank everyone who has made this possible, especially family and friends for their support and forbearance as we delve into this great unknown." Meditation and dharma studies have been an integral part of Spaff's life since 1991. He is married to Kathy Ballek who is also entering three year retreat. |
